I used an electric carving knife. Chalk for the outline washes away.

I should have made a hot wire like revwarnut posted on another thread –

A hot blade would melt through the foam like butter and it wouldn’t leave you with rough edges.

OK, I give up. What the heck is a alu. square pc?

No, it’s a square aluminum piece.

No clue either. Maybe he didn’t have a knife so he cut it with the side of a stereo receiver or something? 😆

Flip the foam over so you don’t see the pen marks!!!

Nah, it adds carachter. 🙂

But really, cases are never much for looks. Sure they can be, blaser sells leather show cases for their shotguns and some rifles, but most are just to keep the gun safe. Not look pretty. 🙂

thank you guys, the grip i got it from mamcrackin the case i got it on ebay for 50 bucks from optic planet and i use a square aluminum piece to make the long cuts and a xacto blade for the round edges

That looks like a good one.Can you post a pic with the gun out?

That’s pretty nice Vhag. What did you use to cut the foam with? I’ve heard electric meat carving knives work good on foam. Where did you get yours from? I think I might get two of them.

Thanks.

You can always find a case where the foam was cut out with a knife rather than a wire by those jagged edges! 🙂

I love cases where you cut the foam out like that. I just have a lot more confidence that it is going to hold there than the ones where the pressure keeps it in place.

Nice looking grip too!

That looks great Vic….You should be able to take it anywhere with no
worry about banging it up….Good idea..
