Q:

anyone ever have a problem with this UTG green laser…

Every time I fire it on my .22 condor the “recoil” causes the poa (the dot) to shift. The wind and elevation adjustments are way too loose and I believe this is the problem. Does anyone know of a solution? I thought about pouring some locktight in there to tighten the adjustment up, but I would not want to over do it.

laser adjustment screws would not back out all the way. They got real tight and I did not want to over due it so I screwed em back in. However, after screwing them back in it seems that they got a little tighter (perhaps there was some oil on them that started to dry out after going in an out a few times…) I fired it 10 times and the aim point did not shift at all, so hopefully this is resolved. Thanks for all your advice fellas!

I’ll try the thread tape first and see how that goes. It might offer more usability as I switch zeros or move it from rifle to rifle. I’ll try it out tomorrow and post results. Thanks

Do one at a time, and torque the other screws in as far as you can while the one is out, that should help keep anything in there from falling.

Or, just loosen it until it’s almost all the way out, and put a drop of loctite on the visible threads and screw it back in. Either way will work.

Thread tape is good to keep it tight but still moveable, loctite will get it stuck better but you should try to get it sighted in fast so you can have the screws set and let the glue dry.

Instructions don’t offer any help. Bottom line is it is a pile of crap unless I get those screws tighter. The only thing I can think of that might go wrong is after I back the screws out all the way something (spring perhaps) looses pressure and falls inside unit….) hopefully it is not that complicated and the laser adjustment will stay in place after I remove the screws. Thanks.

That is a great idea. I did not think that the grub screw comes all the way out, DUHHHH 😳 Thanks!

I don’t have one of those so i’m “ASSUMING” the screws only shift the laser up/down/left and right. May want to check the instruction manual or online just to confirm.

Try careful wrapping the W/E grub screws w/ teflon/plumbers tape, may help stopping it working it’s way loose.
