Q:

Gene’s Tunz

Has anyone got a springer tuned here?

http://www.airguntoys.com/

Is he trust worthy?

Just want some input before I send off my Elite for some well earned tuning and new trigger!

about a year ago he didn’t even know what an airgun was. Charlie da Tuna took him in as an apprentice and now he’s an expert. Not everyone holds these two in high regard if you been around a while.
YMMV

Well – he has a more loyal following than you do. 🙄

Ohhh that makes him an airgungod for sure!my bad.
DonG and Jim Ayers had more faithful followers than I.
So does that say something about me or about the suckers doing the following?
koolaid drinker are you?

Does Rich in Mich tune those guns?

I only hear good things about him.

Yep….. those of us who have been around a while know that he went from not knowing squat about airguns to an ‘expert’ in short order. Not saying anything about his character as he may be a great guy….. but not quite the airgun God that some make him out to be.

Do a little research on how to build a spring compressor and then tune your own. I’ve tuned about a dozen of my springers. Not saying I’m an expert, but I’ll say that it’s not rocket science to throw in a Macarri drop in kit, debur, polish, and lube properly.

Now if you have issues with a piston, or need parts machined, then this is where an airgunsmith comes in quite handy.

He’s one of the founders of GTA. The site is registered in his name and he is VERY well respected on the board by members whether they have had work done or not.

If you go here it won’t take you long to figure out he is the real thing. That said… I’ve never had work done on springer by anyone so…
