Compact .25 build complete .. here’s the numbers !
I have received a lot of mail about this rifle and promised everyone that I would publish a final report of the details. I wanted this rifle to have a total maximum length of 34″, maximum weight of 6 pounds and to be packing about 60 FPE from this little package. Here are the details 🙂
Standard Airforce Frame
Length with the WOK butt installed 34.25″
5 inch Metal Head Mod
6 lbs 4 oz’s total weight
13.5″ .25 caliber barrel
90 gram hammer
Trigger Job with set screws .. came out real sweet.
Safety removed
Factory hammer spring
Condor new style High Flow bottle
Centerpoint 3×12 Compact Scope
30mm one piece High scope mount
With Kodiaks she is shooting at 930 fps for a smack down power of 59.35 FPE and she will go higher. I could shim the hammer spring to get another 1 FPE or so … but the thing is a BEAST already !
Noise level … the Metal Head Mod is only 5″ long and does a good job of taming the muzzle BOOM on this thing .. the sound level is like shooting an R-9 ! To keep her totally quiet would take a few more inches of Mod and that would just increase the length more than what the concept of this rifle is all about. I”ll take the sound level of a medium springer and be real happy with that 🙂
By increasing the bottle pressure 100 psi at a time and checking it on the chronograph the velocity kept increasing … so this thing will definately shoot harder than it is either with more hammer spring or hammer weight.
But it is pounding my pellet trap so hard now that I wear goggles when doing velocity testing .. it splatters lead back onto the floor and that’s with a cardboard face covering the steel trap .. it blows lead fragments back thru the cardboard 😀
It’s a Compact lightweight BEAST 😀

I’ll be looking for a used Talon now to start mine. Who has the 14″ barrel and how much?
