Q:

Need exact measure/diag of breech end

I have the opportunity to get a quote for some barrels directly from Lothar Walther. Specifically I am getting a quote for 12 barrels with the following specs:

Three 24 inch .630 dia .22 barrels with 11 degree target crowns and Airforce breeach end

Three 24 inch .630 dia .25 barrels with 11 degree target crowns and Airforce breeach end

Three 18 inch .630 dia .22 barrels with 11 degree target crowns and Airforce breeach end

Three 18 inch .630 dia .22 barrels with 11 degree target crowns and Airforce breeach end

Lothar considers the Airforce breech end design not public. So, if I want to have these done, I must supply exact measurements and a rough drawing. Can anyone help me out?

Thank you!

get them all in .25 every one and their dad has a .22 already

I don’t know what I am going to do for bushings. I am waiting to see what Lothar will do directly. While 12 barrels may sound like a lot, it’s not enough to make a dent in Lothars productions.

FYI, according to my conversations with Airforce, there are about 5000 or so guns in circulation. At least that is what the serial numbers tell me. There is not a big market here, just a specialty one.

My interest is purely in getting some barrels at a good price and passing it on to forum members.

Bigdans, you might want to have a look at some of metalhead’s work mate. Then go through him….. 8) 😉

Wow, when you were fishing for info and prices the other day you only mentioned 1 or 2 barrels; didn’t know you were looking to be a distributor. I might have been able to do something better for you with this many… How are you going to make the bushings?

Would you have a barrel to measure?
0.312″ for the stub and length like yours about 2 1/2″

Walter….
