I have just purchased this bottle 2nd hand and would like some opinions.Take a look at photo 1. The wall in the neck is thicker on the right side??!!
Also, the bottle is slightly shorter. It does not have the same stamp marks as my factory bottle. Can anyone tell me what these stamp marks mean?

The only number I can see that would relate to pressure is pictured below. It says DOT-3AL3000
I’m sure its all above board and wotnot, I’d just like your informed opinions.. 8) 😀

Its stamped cliffdiv which is catalina.
If I know it IS a stock Condor bottle, I’d be alot happier…

Pabs, that will be a Condor/Talon Stateside bottle with the DOT rating of 3,000psi as you note.
I don’t see a problem with it other than aesthetics.
highly doubt DOT looks at every bottle but rather do an audit once and a great while depending on the past performance of the maker. That bottle is likely a Luxfer or Catalina and so no worries
edit: I see it says Cliff Division so indeed a Catalina cylinder.

Don’t worry about the machine marks being off-center, that is just a function fo the bottle manufacturing process, it is within DOT tolerances, or it would not have passed it’s manufacturing inspection.
I worked in the SCUBA industry for over 20 years, and I saw tanks that were worse than that. If the tank was going to fail, it would have on it’s initial hydro test.
You can “over fill” new tanks by 10% for the first 5 years, after the first reinspection/hydro you are limited to the stamped pressure.

Found what the stamp marks mean. Its rated to 207 bar(3000 psi)

Also my factory bottle says .5litre 0.79kg, the 2nd hand bottle says .5litre 0.66kg.
Less pressure rated??
