Q:

pellet reviews

hey wok have you thought about having a section for pellet reviews, everyone asks the same questions so maybe we could have a list of pellets and you leave you comment for each like gun used, velosity, accuracy, fit ect. i was thinking of getting jsbs and don’t know how the diffrent weights do 14 16 18 25 grain, but i am thinking of getting 25 monsters

Will make it easy.

Stay away from….

Gamo pellets….the Gamo Match pellets are ok, as are the Hunter pellets… but still…shit….it’s a Gamo.
Skenko pellets

Aside from that, there really isnt any way of knowing. I have an HW97LK that will only group one pellet…and it’s not a pellet that one would think to try in a high end gun…. RWS Super H Point. It will STACK them.

I’ve got a couple of RWS 34’s…in the same caliber…and each prefers a different pellet.

This is a common question that comes up… which pellet does XXX gun prefer…and the question is always the same:

I can tell you what ‘my’ gun likes. Others can as well… but until you get the gun, there simply is no way of knowing.

That said…

For Springers, I always try these pellets…. in this order….

Premiers
Exacts
Express
FTS

If none of those group, I move on to others.

For pneumatics….

Kodiaks
Exacts
Premiers
FTS

if none of those group, I’ll try others.

😮 I don’t think it’s a bad idea, just for the fact that if some one is going to buy a different gun it would be nice to know what pellets would work good with that gun, before you go spending money on pellets that are shit with the gun..I know each gun is different and each pellet is different in each gun. But some guns can use the same pellets…Hope that makes since. After all I’m just a girl, lol… 🙄

kodiaks are in stock in a few places i think cobra airguns and i think aoa
also the barracudas aoa has are kodiaks but the kodiaks are relabled

i know all guns are diffrent but there are some good ones most of the time and some bad ones all the time, i was thinking more of a list of pellets to avoid, trust me i have wasted a lot of money learning. guess it wasn’t a complete loss because i learned what pellets to stay away from. ie silver ace, had to be the worst, ts22, raptor, ect. just sucks when you buy 1500 shit pellets, cph for example are real lose in most air force guns, melted mine into fishing weights. but anyways i am kinda excited about jsb monsters, hope they work good, but also was wondering about jsb 18’s, i am about to make a bulk order and am tired about kodiak always being out of stock, what 3 months now.

i just ordered
the exacts 18’s
and monsters today
as well as some more eunjins and polymags
ill let ya know on those later this week

The problem with pellet reviews are that not every gun will shoot them the same. PCP’s are not as notorious with this as springers, but all the same…. what may work very well in one gun may not work well in another.

As a rule, the AF guns do well with Premiers, JSB’s, and Kodiaks…. I’ve had a couple Talons and one loved Premiers, the other… not so much. I have several guns that are the same model and not always do they like the same pellet… just a little nuance of airguns, I suppose.

Your intentions are good, but to be honest, a pellet review section could turn into a goat screw fairly quickly.
