Q:

Please advise on Beeman R1 Magnum???

I went to my local gunshow today and a gent has a brand new R1 magnum for 400.00. I looked them up on PA and they were 600.00 , so it appears to be a good price. I have been looking for my first springer, so please advise as to the quality, accuracy, etc. of this gun. Thanks!

I had to pass on this. If I had brought home another rifle—as slow as the economy is—I may have worn it like a bow tie around my head (like bugs Bunny did to Elmer fudd…remember?)

Anyway, if it hasn’t already sold it will be circulating with the Suncoast Gun show:

The vendor who has it is one of the few that has only older/vintage rifles (mostly hanging on the wall behind his tables, and a few off to the side.

Thanks for the input.

go buy it right now you will never regret it, accually i would run to you car. i have one in .177 and bought it from a gun shop that went out of bisness for 350, i walked in saw it and bought it on the spot. it is by far on of the best spring guns out there. and if you don’t buy it let us know where it is i bet someone here would drive to get it

Think the Beeman R1 is regarded as a legendary springer…
