Q:

Regulators?

Okay I have seen some talk about regulators here. I would like to get one, I am not sure if I should go with Airhog or JDS Air.

I have seen some of the other reviews about both companies, with each having followers and detractors.

The other thing is that Airhog is not going to have any regs. “for a few months” apparently they will be machining there own regs. soon.

So whose reg. would you go with? And why?

I am using a stock tank.

Can I add a “The stock/modified tanks work fine for me” option?

I guess not…. 🙄

EXPERT HPA site is working now.

I had a JDS airman reg. It works. I just dont like regulators. JDS is a cheapo generic paintball regulator with extra preload on the regulator spring.

The Airhog unit, which I also briefly owned is a “myth” low profile paintball regualtor with extra preload on the reg spring.

If Van is going to be machining their own I would wait for that as I am sure they will be incorporating an expansion area with proper AF valve threads. No more piece of absolute shit AF CO2 adapter. Which will be nice for LOP.

After briefly shooting a regulated Condor I am going the other way and just increasing the volume of air with a larger CF 68CI tank and higher flow with a Blod valve with a heavy barrel ridiing Leupy hammer and spring.

I like my freebird

I talked to Van briefly last week. He said that they are going to buy a lathe to machine there own regulators. They will not be available for a few months. I will wait.

I tried calling expert hpa left a voice message and no reply back a couple weeks ago.

Something seems to have happened to their website.

When clicking on a google link it takes you to a page about medicine!

The “cached” page takes you to the site about high pressure air but any of the links – including the “contact us” – on the page take you straight back to the medical page.

Bizarre.

Tried expert HPA?

Good plan, will give it a go, ta.

I emailed/contacted both companies via their websites asking some questions about their products.

JDS was a little brusque and not very helpful and Airhog didn’t even have the courtesy to reply.

So, neither of them are getting my money.

Tried expert HPA?

I’m sure it has been said many times before but would it be so hard for somebody to make one to fit between the standard bottle and valve?

Ok, it would have to incorporate a quick fill at the bottle end but I for one am not too bothered about a gauge, the one on my air tank is more accurate than most I have seen on rifles and I always refer to that when filling anyway.

I don’t know if I’d mess with my .22 as it puts hole in hole quite often. If I were to get a reg, I’d probably wait a little longer to see what Airhog Machines up. Better yet, how about some WOKULATORS! 8)
