Match vs standard kodiaks
I think this question has been asked before but I don’t know if it ever really got an answer.
I just bought a few tins of kodiaks and realized they were the match rather than the ones I normally order. Will there be a noticeable difference between them, other than the 2 bucks extra a tin?

I’ve got some of the Kings too … can’t wait to get my .25 caliber up and running so I can try them out 😀
Well the new JSB Kings’ are Match and shoot Fantastic! And it is the only way they come. Problem solved. 😀 😉
The .25 caliber match pellets should all be within 3 tenths of a grain of each other .. at least that is what my tests show.
From my personal experience the Match pellets are worth every penny and they are all that I buy now. 🙂

Seems to me I was told the diffrence between match and regular kodiaks is the match spend longer time in the dies and when you buy a sleeve of match you get a guarantee (kinda) that the batch of pellets were all made one after the other from the same machine, So theretically that are all identical. Where as regualar kodiaks may be a mix of pellets from Monday-Friday and out of diffrent machines.
Thath’s how it was once explained to me.
Maybe it would be a good idea to send a not off to H&N and ask.
Ok, but have you ever weighed a 100 or so to see the differences in weights? Supposedly the variances are reduced with the match lots.
I’ve shot thousands of both and have not noticed any diffrences in velocities or accuracy.
Lama, get someone with a scale and weigh 50 of each to see the variation in weights.
I ordered a tin of the .25 caliber JSB Kings to see how they work out in my new barrel … just heavy enough to make a good pellet for that caliber.
I’m really curious about those jsb pellets. Back in .25, the jsb would outshoot everything else I had. I wonder if .25 will be the same?
I’ll have to see if these kodiaks are as good as the standard. I would hope so. 😕

Well,they are supposed to be sorted. Supposed to be.
I’ve wondered if they are may be a thou. different. You know. Like the JSB. From some suppliers, you can get the .22 in 5.51 or 5.52 skirt dia. The only reason I am wondering about this is because I have known several shooters to get better accuracy from one or the other. Oddly enough, the last person I talked to on this was getting very good accuracy from the standard Kodiaks, but not so much from the Match. On the other hand, I had very good results from the Beeman Match, and less so with the standard Kod’s n .22. Your results may vary! 😉 😆
My buddy and I just ordered 7000 of the new JSB .25 in 25.4 gr. We’ll see how those do. I’m having issues with the Kodiaks in my bbl. I was going t order one tin to try, but Hank went crazy and tried to buy them out. 😆 🙄
