Q:

a couple groups from my Edgun

I had a chance to do a little shooting this morning. The wind did not let up much but I got a couple good groups. These are only 3 shot groups but I think they show the potential of the Edgun. These were shot with 15.8 grain JSB Exacts and the target was at a lasered 42 yards. These were the only two groups I fired as I was sighting in and not just the “cherry picked” best ones. The trigger has a different feel than my AA S410 and it was certainly different shooting such a short gun off the sandbags. I am really liking this Edgun even with the lower than expected velocity. Groups like this and a 50 shot string with a SD of 4; not bad at all.

mamcrackin,
the 15.8 grain JSB averaged 946fps over a 50 shot string with an ES of 15 and an SD of 4

Good deal…..Thanks kg

Nice shooting.

Edgun sure looks great.

kgphotos, what is the average FPS of the 15.8gr?….I kinda figured the
Edgun would like those as well as the 18.1gr….I haven’t had a gun yet that didn’t like the 15.8gr

Thanks for the ego boost. I also shoot pretty good groups with my S410. I used to shoot a lot with custom centerfire rifles and did a lot of informal target shooting. I handloaded my own target ammo and took accuracy very seriously. I bought every tool to fine tune my brass and even hand measured each powder charge. I was very anal about it; but I did shoot some pretty decent groups. Anyway, thanks again for the ego trip 😀

That is great shootin!!!

Now those are great groups kgphotos…Gotta love a gun you can count
on…Even if the group doubled in size by doubling the yardage you are
still shooting less than .5″ at 80 yds….Great results….The Edgun might just be the gun of the century…

Groups look real good.As far as the velocity goes I would leave it like it is especially if its a shooter.Mine shoots in the low 900’s,around 910 to be exact. The speed really is not an issue with me as long as I can depend on it to print it where I point it.

Yeah, I’d say it’s sighted in!

You know, the famous HK PSG-1 has to go through a 50 shot test at 300 yards and keep all 50 within 3″. I think we should start doing this with airguns. 50 shots at 50 yards or something. That’s be cool!
