stripped set screw removal???????
What is the best way to remove a power wheel set screw that is stripped. Iput blue loctite on it the last time i put it together. Does anyone make a metal replacement? thanks, mike

my screw accually broke off, you could tell it was not formed right, so ijust rotated the plastic piece it is in and drilled a new hole, works great
that little plastic screw scares me, seems like it would be real easy to f up. but haven’t yet. nock on wood.!!!!!!!

did you get the old one out? if not mix your self up a bit of 2 ton epoxy and dip the end of your allen wrench in it, place it in the screw head and tape it or something to keep it in place wile you let the epoxy set up, then just unscrew the striped screw.
remember not to use too much epoxy on the allen, you don’t want any overflow, that could just make your problem worse.
Take the screw to ACE, they have them. I cant remember the thread, but I think it was 4/40 so take the screw to be sure. They were a tad long, but easy to grind a little off.
I found some at home depot.

I got the old screw out. Ithink ill drill a new hole. With all of the machinests on this forum i am surprised no one has machined a metal power wheel. Leave it up to our guys to make improvements, airforce r and d department should hire people from this forum. thanks for the help everyone, mike
