JDS air bottle for my Condor?
I have a question.
I saw a 53 cu.in. bottle on JDS website and I think the valume is bigger than regular AirForce bottle- am I right?
If so I would like to use it for my Condor with hi-flo valve. Is this thread in the bottle the same as valve’s thread, will it screw in?

Thank you Hoot for sharing the info. I am pleasantly surprised that you already have this set up. Do you get more shots from this bottle than AF bottle?
I would also like to see how it looks. Does it look bulky, too fat? If you can share the pics, it would be nice.

I’m tied up with my current modeling contracts, and the forthcoming SI swimsuit issue. But I will have some time next week, and I hope to get them posted then.
Actually the 53 cu in tank looks better than the 48 cu in tank. It’s a bit more slender, but ever so slightly longer. However, being aluminum, there is not much weight difference.
Twice the air should indicate a much higher shot count. But, I have to chrony the results before I post results vs. an opinion.

Dude, I’m lucky to be able to count to 21 using every appendage I’ve got thats longer than two inches.
I suspect the extra 50 cc is still in the bottle.

I sent my tank to Marmot_Militia because the threads were not made for a Talon valve. Jim cut an E-TaC to fit and sells them with a QD and a pressure gauge for a C note. This gets the JDS tank far enough from the Talon frame so it does not make contact. Without this mod, the tank cannot screw into the AF frame without some sort of adapter, such as JDS regulator and CO2 converter. I found this added too much length to the rifle for comfort. So I went with the E-TaC and have had very good results.
I’ll be posting some pics and shot numbers/velocities soon, so you can see what kind of shot count a tank like this can provide.
Further, I’m going to try a standard and Condor valve in the shot count test. Stay tuned….
I thought the AF tank was 490cc. Does the valve take up 50cc?
Thank you Jim for the reply. As Hoot have stated, only later I have realized that the bottle is too fat to be screwed into the frame. So I guess I would need that E-TaCHPA adapter from you but the only setback is money. I would need to save up for it.

I own the 53 cu in air tank. It is larger diameter than the Talon tank, but about as long. It has approximately double the capacity of the standard AF air tank. (868 cc vs. 440 cc, approximate)

The Condor/Talon bottle, and therefore the valve, is threaded M18x1.5 so no, it won’t screw in.
There is a nice product out there that will get you what you want, though. It comes with a fill nipple and gauge. You screw your valve in one side, and screw the bottle on the other side. It can be had in straight, left handed, and right handed.
Of course, it’s the E-TaCHPA, and you can PM me for details.

Yeah the 53 is slim but it looks like it would make the length of pull longer will a reg and co2 adapter. Do you know how long the E-TaC is?
