Q:

I am thinking about getting a regulated setup for my Talon..

and have a few questions. I am looking at the JDS 48 cu in tank and reg. I am wanting to shoot JSB 15.8g pellets at around 875 fps with an 18 inch barrel. What pressure should I get the reg set at? Are these regs reliable or will I have to fix it every few thousand shots?

Thanks

I think it would be best for the OP and everyone else if you two stop commenting on each other’s posts….

Someone who isn’t aware of the trouble between you two might actually believe what each is saying instead of realizing its just an ongoing nag session and there’s a hidden agenda.

And yes.. I’m talking to the pair of you.

I agree and will gladly conform….

Aww Damit I look so forward to the banter. 😆 🙄

Thanks mam I will give Van a call.

be swell if you bring his advice over here and share it onthe TAG.

seems to me advice to go ask elsewhere takes away from this place and the wealth of info right here.
Be curious to see how it works out for sure.

Walter….

Thanks mam I will give Van a call.

I never tested with 18″ barrels.

Here are some of my results…
2,000psi output reg
Condor 24″ barrrel with Condor Hammer….
Average 925FPS

2,000psi output reg
Condor 12″ barrrel with Condor Hammer….
Average 730FPS

If the math works right, an 18″ barrel would give you 827.5FPS with a
regulator set for 2,000psi output…
Van can answer all of the questions you would have about regulator
maintenance and which regulators would be the best…

with so much regulator testing done I would have thought Mam would know a pressure to recommend.

do you have the CO2 adapter already? if so put 1400 in your CO2 tank and see what you get. If that works then 1400 is the number.

WAG I’d say 1400psi is what you want for that speed and will yield a pile of shots.

Call Van at Airhog and ask him about his regulators….Not the high
powered HPA System but the regs that are comparable to the JDS
regs…John at JDS knows nothing about psi and FPS so don’t bother
looking for answers there..

Mamcrackin has done more testing with these regs then anyone else so this is the best advice going.
