Q:

Theoben Rapid Regulator came in today….

Looks like it is set for approx. 2,000psi output….Shooting around 950FPS
with a 16.0gr Air Arms….The Rapid barrel isn’t listed on the web site but
as far as I can tell it looks to be around 28″ long….Seems aweful long….
Well any ways….I thought I would show this to you guys that are
interested in regulating the AF guns….Seems it just might be the ticket if
you can make it fit.. The flow is from the female threaded end towards
the end with the lock nut on it….And it is some what adjustable.
Retail Price is around $250.00 shipped
from airgunwerks….Dave Slade at 931-565-4841. Dave is out of the
country for 3 more wks if no answer….

Was a great afternoon with zero wind and a chance to see
what the Rapid could do….
It took me a few to figure out where I was because I had
the scope reduced to 15mag so that I could get a mildot on
the target…. Once I found the a spot to aim at, I sighted in
on the bull with the 5th mildot @ 111yds…. The rest was history….
6 shots in that group at the bottom… Unbelievable precision this
gun is capable of… Yes I am really glad I bought a Rapid…
What a fine gun…..

Search posts by Baz and you’ll find all information about this regulator. I posted the pictures again because the original photos got deleted fom my photo bucket account.

😆 😆 😆
Baz likes to Show & Not Tell 😉 😆

That black on those parts is so pretty.

Tell us anything. Your such a tease. 😆

Holy crap Baz, that is a beautiful piece of work right there. Tell us more.

Wow, and I thought the AF guns looked like a tube before!! 😛

Very nice. How do you hold it?

Oh, and I’ll throw 50 cents towards the new regulator. 🙂

That is a great peice of work right there baz….

Maybe king or metalhead would take on the project or someone else but those guys came to mind and I would be all for donating to get one for them to study and try to make it work.

I would love to see a regulator in the “cojo or codo” whatever the hell it’s called format because I loved the look of that design with the gauge right in front of you and if the quickfill was put under it so it didn’t look like a sore thumb sticking out that would be just perfect.

volumetrics is the problem though so maybe it would have to be a little bigger to allow the volume of air in to be regulated. Someone will figure it out eventually.

I am afraid it would definately take one of the valve/machinists to make
this one work…I finally check the shot count today and it is 78 with a
3,300psi fill….

Okay Jeff, now that it’s working really good get it out of the rapid and put it into your AF rifle and let us know what’s fer 8)

LOL! You know I have been trying to figure it out in my head….It is a
nice piece of work….I also want to turn it up but I am afraid to screw
with it….

I can understand that concern considering that hefty price tag. Perhaps we will start up a drive to collect money to buy you one to mess with. Put me down for 10.00. Anyone else????

I’ll throw $10 at it.

Yeah, the valve looking slick MAN, I think you can tweak it somehow for AF Rifle. Let us know how that goes, but do not screw-it-up though 😆

Mam, measure the projection of the stem out the nut and then count flats maybe go one at a time.
Be no trouble getting back to where you started.

Apparantly those regs are subject to creep if the oring sel on the hp insert starts to leak.
As the others say looking for your 100 yard groups 🙂

Cheers,
Walter…
