tank gauge questions
I am somewhat new to this forum and have a question on fill pressures. I get my scuba tank filled to 3000 psi and then fill from that to my Talon SS tank. The gauge on the fill adapter reads 2800 psi on the first fill. As I continue with more fills it goes down until it get to under 2000 psi and I have the scuba tank refilled. Problem is that my filler tells me that I still have about 2400 left in my scuba tank. I think that my gauge might be off. How do I check this and how do I get it replaced?

Thanks for the info. I will go t my local welding shop and get that fixed.
YOu have a bad gauge for Sure, I had the same experience with my new Airforce Fill clamp gauge.
At the scuba shop I tried about 5 different scuba tanks filled to 3000 psi and my fill clamp gauge always stopped @ 2800 psi. The Scuba instructor said that I had a bad gauge. I didn’t believe him?( he was correct)
Posted here on the TAG and SavageSam told me I had a bad clamp gauge also. I remove the gauge and found a clear gasket sealer had flowed into gauge.
Call airforce and get an RA number and return it to them, They will repair/replace under warranty. YOu can go to a welding supply company and buy a replacement gauge and replace the gauge yourself. I did, couldn’t wait warranty replacement.

My airforce scuba adapter is off 400 psi low ,from the scuba shop gauges.
