Q:

caution on wok but plate install

If you are smarter than me, and most of you likely are then this will seem pretty obvious.
I just got around to installing the aluminum butt plate I got from W.O.K. to replace AF plastic piece of junk that split in 3 pieces.
I used some Jb weld to attach it and filled in the tapped reciever hole 😳
Adam put a nice barrier around the tapp hole to keep that from happening but I put that side up. daaaaaa, I drilled it back by hand, and it tapped back out easy. had to sand flat the barrier that could have prevented all this.

Tank with W.O.K. plate

.25cal backtogether and ready for action!

I feel special, Adam warned me about that before I JB Welded mine…hey, wait a minute, on second thought, maybe he just thought I was stupider than you, hence the warning 😯

i made mine out of a 1/4 plate steel, and eploxied it, it balanced the weight of the tripod, witch is what i wanted to ask you about, who made it and how is it mounted?

Wok made it. It is epoxied on, or just held in place with the cover like the original was.

Ya don’t feel bad I screwed up Adams grip adapters, but made it work my way.

Almost a shame you cant see it after the cover is on, would look good powder coated with no cover.

😆

Oops. 😛

Very nice results though!

That looks great.
I think I will borrow you picture 😀

A good idea is to put a bit of tape over the hole to keep the JB weld out when you glue it on.

Glad it worked out for you.

Use the pics all you want 😀 I shot two squirrels with the .25 this evening, the butts soild. Very pleased!
