It seems to use a “normal” manual pump to do the filling, yet i dont see any kind of cooling device attached to it. we all know that you need to allow a few minutes for a handpump to cool off every 30 or 40 strokes, so i wonder,
Whats keeping that pump from burning up? or do you have to turn off the compresor every 30 strokes of the pump (and count the strokes of course) to keep it from burning up?

i have been colecting parts for me build the same thing, like shadoh said the parts are not cheap, i have a 1/3 1800 rpm motor 4 piler bearing a 1/2 keyed shaft and some pulleys and plenty of steel all for free and i bet it will still cost me a hundred bucks to build, for belts and other stuff, actually for the price it is a good deal but i will take note of his design 🙂

Mine makes funny noises every once in a while and doesn’t feel like it’s pumping like it used to, but I think it’s just paranoia because it’s never failed to pump the tank. 😆
I guess after I found out that if my pump breaks I can’t get a repair kit I started seeing problems. Just like after you see the medicine commercial your head starts to hurt. 😆
It almost looks like he only built the one? Maybe he was looking for more interest and would then produce more of them.
I figured that if you were gonna spend 600 on one of those and another 300 for the pump you might as well just get a compressor. Thats why I wanted to build mine for as little as possible.
Thanks for the link and it says attach your FX pump and I have a hill pump so 🙁 bah humbug and the price is doable.

It would probably be about that much. If he isnt to greedy ). Four months ago we moved our shop after being at our last location for 17 years. Needless to say all my side projects got put on hold for awhile ). I will finish it up soon.
Sounds nice and would love to see it when you finish. I was hoping $500 or so which I could save up for by next spring pefect to start hitting some competitions with this condorasaurus.
It wont be cheap. When I first started my pump build I was going to use similar parts. I was going to use all Evap cooler parts, which is what it looks like has there but all those pulleys add up fast. In the end it was cheaper just to buy a used gear reduction motor, a timing chain and pulleys and bearings off of Ebay. The metal I had at the shop was mostly scrap so I would be hard pressed to price that out.
Mine is a fully working unit except I never finished the stand or painted it. I need to finish it up and get some pics/video posted.
I didn’t see a price on the site or do you have to email him and I hate it when they don’t list a price.

Mine fills with no heat issues that I can see. I use a Hill though.
