Well, guys, I have another reason to take your money :)
I got a couple of days ago new barrels from Lothar Walther, made for my special order and by my technical requirements. I began to talk about these barrels with them in the spring of this year, when I was in Germany at IWA 2009. I’ve just got it. It took time them to made my barrels 🙂
Well, I prepared them to install to the standard Matador and assembled three units with the new barrels, then taste them. To say I was surpriced to say nothing. The difference in accuracy, level of sound, air consumption (number of shots) with the present standard is very noticable. I would consider it at least 20-25 % better for all above mentioned positions. So I made a post to the local forum that I am gonna sell my present Edgun, since I want the new one with the new barell 🙂
The bad news — the gun with the new barell will cost 100 U.S. dollars more 🙂
By the way, using the standard Matador without the regulator in direct flow mode I could achive with JSB Monster 25,4 grains pellets 300 m/sec (985 f/sec) that makes 74 Joles (54,4 Ft/Lbf) and the accuracy was at the leverl of JSB heavy 18 grain at the speed 275 m/sec. I was impressed. Consider that at the long version of the Edgun the speed can be rised up to 320 m/sec (1 050 f/sec).
So, guns with the new barrels will be available in Russia only in March-April of 2010, in States April-May. I do not sell barrels alone and anyhow they are different a little bit and one cannot just replace it. 🙂

Help, I’m living in the twilight zone!
I have a fan heater that doesn’t heat anymore, though the fan still turns.
Is it worth replacing the heating element or should I just replace the whole thing?

Sounds good Ed! I am looking for another PCP. If I wait till April-May for the new barell long Edgun will the semi auto kit be availble for it by then? How about the new moderator that is susposed to be so much quieter?

Can the regulator be customer removed or would it have to be done by Tony? I would want to order the gun with the regulator so I could have it reinstalled if needed.
I don’t mind waiting till April-May (too much!). I am sure that my standard Edgun will get me by till then! 😆
I might have to work out some kind of payment plan, with you and Tony. Something like I send him $200 a month and then get anything new when It comes out! 😆
Yep, the barrel which I ordered works perfectly with the presend Matador and JSB pellets. That’s what I wanted 🙂
Will the barrel be the only change? Will you be using the same regulator?
You will never catch what you want just waiting, waiting and waiting, every time a new thing you want is better then one you have now. If you wait until the guns with the new barells will be available you will not have gun shooting during this half a year and then, when you have a gun with the new barell, just unpack it and go to the forum to say “WOW” you will find my message there about something new. Will you then go hang youself up after that? 🙂 Enjoy what you have or can have now and then you will have ability to have something new in the future, I know it, but if you will keep your mind on being so smart to take the best thing — you will loose more, it was checked out many times and by mane people 🙂

That sounds great Ed! Have you ever considered using BSA barrels? I might have to make this happen myself. I’ve noticed that my BSA barrels seem to excel in very long distance shots and they are able to shoot a variety of pellets accurately.
I want that semi-auto kit!
Usual new standard Edgun, just assembled shows me 50 shots with 285 m/sec (925 f/sec) with 16 grain pellets, from 200 bar down to 110-115 bars. These three showed me with same pellets air consumption as 200-130/135 bars. The sound is so confort that I hear much heavier sound from the pellet’s impact the target at 30 meters then the sound of the shot. The accuracy is amazing I easily made 10 shots at 8-10 mm. measured by the edge of the hole at 30 meters. But, you know I still guaranty only 20 mm. at 50 meters 🙂 and stilll 50 shots at the fill up to 200 bar 🙂
😀 Ed that sounds cool. How many shot’s on the unregged gun? Also what does the regged version do(velocity& shot count). I guess I will have to get another edgun 😆
