Q:

Making life easy

As some of you might have noticed i have done some fange finding over the last 2 days and now i want to make use of these numbers.

Mamacracking has been very kind and created some range cards for me with i have duplicated already but i want more ease.

My targets are normally rabbits, squirrels and pigeons so does any one here know an average size for each of the animalโ€™s heads? Its an odd question I know but I am not going out to shot any of them in this weather to measure them up.

once i know these measurement i will be able to apply my aim point to them and stick this to my bottle for very quick reference no matter what magnification i am shooting at.

my eyes are not that good and the zoom stops at x26…

This is what i am thinking of but i need to add the head sizes to it. it is still raining here so i am not going out in a rush.

the head will be sketched or pasted to this range chart with measurements telling me the average hight (top of head to base of jaw) and width (nose to back of skull). i am hoping that knowing the head size in inches will help me range find accurately. the kill zone will remain the size of a penny.

I was thinkin squirrel and pigeon=quarter. Rabbit=silver dollar.

Figure Squirrel a little bigger than a golf ball.
Rabbit mayyybe a tennis ball
and a pigeon well about the size of a 25mm shooter marble. ๐Ÿ˜‰
