whats your thoughts on a b50/51?
i got a unexpected bonus in my check this week so now i have around 250 to spend maybe more if i sell my rc car in the classfieds
well i was lookin at the b-50s they look nice
i have a hill pump so i wanna go pcp
is there any other guns out there that make good power im looking for 30 fpe and up. that are pcp and uner 300 used or new
i want a longer range crow buster to take with me in the car for stop and shoot deals plus my sister inlaws…inlaws have a farm i hunt on and they have lotsa rats and pigeons raid the barn for feed and whatnot and i wanna snipe em off from 50 yards or so.

I have had two of them. Both worked over by Ed Stack. One with a LW barrel is a tackdriver and I still have it.
the other had interchangeable barrels in .22 and .177 and never was quite as accurate as the other…. not by a long shot. I ended up getting rid of it.
They are a good platform to tinker with but like all the Chinese stuff, QC is lacking and you must be willing to deal with those issues.

well i can prolly tinker a bit with it
but i dont know maybe for now ill toss a 24 inch bbl and a shoulder stock on my disco pistol and use that and then get a P1 or similar pistol fr close up rats,squirrels, pigeons

i had a .177 that had decent accuracy, and after tuning was awesome…..then a .22 that i was tuning for a friend, was a pain in the ass to get to shoot acuratly, it would send one pellet out with 28 fpe and the next 30 fpe…once sorted it was accurate too with the muzzleweight on…without it it wasnt…it needed a new crown…so did my 177 btw…..next one was a power project, again inconsistent power, and this one the power was downhill from the get go, and down hill fast…took me many hours to get straightened out, got it tuned to about 55-60 fpe accuracy was ok for hunting
the first b50/51 was great, but quality and finish has gone downhill from there….if you can tune and tweak your self, they can be great rifles, they are based on the daystate huntsman, and thats a good design
trigger, wood, and bluing in general is nice….some of the stuff the fit just isnt up to par, i was disappointied by the fit of the cocking rod (no phun intented) my first rifle it was very smooth with very little play….second and third rifle had alot of play…
so its a bit of a gamble to get one of them….theres a guy out there that sells them tuned for just a bit more….maybe thats the way to go ?

Had Big Ed set mine up and she is great- getting 20 fpi, a bunch of shots, and as accurate as my buddy’s MFR. Dollar for dollar spent- the best gun I own.
