How’s this for an unregulated 50 shot string .22 condor…
shot from my .22 24″ barrel stock condor. Top hat (the width of a penny and dime combined?? .98??? Jerry esimated this to be around .105) Power wheel on 3. Shooting Kodiak heavies 21.10 gr (highest fpe was 55, lowest on shot # 50 was 40.795 fpe, not bad, hah?

If the top hat has not been loctited dude, you really need to measure what the setting is… Then you can reset the top hat when the thing works loose LOL…
I have one of the really old Condors, that was a piece of junk when I bought it. I have had to make just about every single part on this rifle at one time or other… Its a keeper now, but I would hate to think how much time and money I have in this bird LOL…
No kidding though, do yourself a favor, get the measurement, you will be glad you did…
Thanks SS, but I aint touching that rig for nothing. That .22 is a tack driver, and those numbers coincide with it’s accuracy.
80G That looks Great! I’ll post some strings up when I get a chance and it’s not freezing here (Hey us Ca. wimps ain’t used to 25 lol) I would measure the top hat so you know exactly where it’s at and see what .88 does…..
Thanks Mike, but I can’t take any credit for it. This is how this rifle came from the factory. I got lucky as I heard lots of stories on how guys had to test and tune to get them that good….

Yep, they will group great at such short range, but the group will really start breaking up at longer ranges. I wish this wasn’t the case, as I really like the trajectory at the higher velocity. but it just isn’t to be. 🙁

Those light Jsb jumbo RS 13.43 appeared stable at that range, however, they would have destabilized shortly thereafter. It appears the 18.1 are the most accurate in that rifle, however I want to do some testing with the EJ’s, but I doubt they will be better than the JSB’s. In a few weeks I want to see how this rifle does at 100 yards.
Nice groups if the light ones grouped well going supersonic I bet the Kodiaks will do very good.
Truthfully, I just received these kodiaks in a trade, so I never even fired a group with them. But here is how the rifle grouped with the lighter JSB’s 18 gr and the heavier Jumbo monsters 25 gr grouped quite well at 30 yards with the rifle on the exact same setting. The jumbos were going a little slower and the exacts were a little faster. Both grouped very well. See link below.

Yeah what’s accuracy looking like with that? My H&N 21’s will be here tomorrow!!!! Is that still a stock tophat setting?

I don’t have the instrument to measure, but it fit a penny and a dime perfectly. I was told that this is .105 The other day it was laying Pointed Ej’s in the same hole at 25 yards. The first five shots didn’t group that well, but once the fps increased, they started stacking. Hell yeah! I’m real happy with that bird! 😀
