Q:

bam b50 308 or .32 conversion questions..

Hi guys, who knows where to get a good 1/2 inch OD .308 or .32 barrel? Got a Bam B50 that i would like to hot rod a bit

Been thinking of this one from track of the wolf:

Liner for .32-20 cartridge, .305″ bore, .312″ groove, 1-16″ twist, 6 grooves, 1/2″ OD, per inch

Did anybody ever built a custom rifle using these? Would the bore groove difference be too much for an airgun?

Any other liners that i sould consider?

Thanks, Vincent

Thanks for the input Voltar.

found 3 barrel options so far:
the track of the wolf but that one’s got a 1 in 16 twist, .305/.312

the Redmans liner with a 1 in 18 twist .305/.311

the lothar walther .308 with twist=? groove&lands=?

And then theres the green mountain with nice specs (1 in 22 twist .306/.312)
But i rather not chew on a 1 inch OD barrel, that’s gonna take forever with a little lathe…

anybody really tried any of the above mentioned for accuracy?

determine which bullet you like best in .308 or .32(.311)
then make your pick based on the length of bullet you will most likely want the slowest twist offered.
Track of the Wolf liners are beautifully made and shoot like a house afire.

open up that valve and let her breath and you should be tickeld with a 100 grainer in that conversion.

report back as you get her built.
