I have a question about my Airhog shroud

I have the 12 inch Condor shroud on my Talon right now and the first baffle is almost 3 inches from the muzzle inside the shroud. If I get a barrel that is 2-2 1/2 inches longer will the shroud still work? Will it just be less effective or will the blast blow the first baffle out of alignment or something?
