Stock Top hat Setting set @ .105
Well after reading about the top hat setting I decided to check mine out for the first time and got .105. I don’t have a chono and want to try maximizing the th. How much should I push out by safely without testing it with a chono?

The brass part under the top hat is about .010 below the black part of the bottle it that makes a difference.
According to Air Force technical support (aka Rachael) the top hat is set to remove any front to back slop when the breech knob is locked left/right.
The best way to adjust it is with a Chrony and this method:

That’s the factory setting my condor .22 came with. Perhaps he received a condor bottle and valve by accident???

does the top hat setting from factory @ .105 seem right though for a tss. Well I thinking of getting a combro mk4 any good?
Seems to me… Without a chronograph you are just pissing in the wind. I would wait until you have a chronograph handy before adjusting.

Not really. The Chrony will tell you the optimum set point. You only measure to determine the starting point for reference only.
