If my Talon shoots 25.4g JSBs at 760 fps in .22 will it…..
shoot them at the same speed in .25? faster? slower?

You are going to be disappointed. Get to getting a new valve right now. You’re starting at 32.6 FPE. Whatever slight efficiencies you may or may not see with the larger barrel will be small. Nobody goes to the trouble of getting a .25 barrel to have a sub-40 FPE gun. You should at least get a condor high flow valve and if it were me, I’d be porting it and polishing.
I almost forgot, my .25 barrel will be two inches longer than my .22.

The whole point about going up to .25 is to shoot heavier pellets, not the same weight ones..Well, that was the whole point for me anyway…
Yeah but I just wanted to get an idea of how fast my Talon tank would push .25s without any mods……we will see when I get my .25 barrel.

If we’re are talking about the same weight of pellet, the .25 should go faster because the air has more surface area to act upon.

Depends on the weight of the .25 pellet….
they’ll be too loose for that .25 barrel.

Yes in the near future I plan on getting a condor valve but I just wanted to see what would happen with a standard tank. My Talon is not at full power either, I can probably get the 25.4g in the 820s or 830s but only get about 20 good shots instead of the 45 at a lower speed. I will try it tomorrow and see how fast I can get them to shoot.
