.22 BSA Lonestar (more pics added)
I bought a BSA Lonestar from Tofazfou a few weeks ago and just now got to spend some time with her. Here are some pics with a Bushnell Trophy mounted.
First I must say that I am very impressed with the BSA build quality. 🙂 I shot a few groups but mostly chronied it because the last three days were very windy. Almost every group has a flyer because of the unpredictable 15mph gusts of wind. I shot a group with my Talon as a “control”. All groups were shot at 40 yards from a sitting position.

I think these groups are good for the very windy conditions they were shot in. I look forward to shooting it at long range in better conditions.

For a small tank it gets alot of shots for the power it’s getting. I almost forgot the trigger is a few steps up fro the Airforce trigger. 😆 Overall I an very happy with the Lonestar.

Yeah 50 yards sitting. I shoot mostly from the sitting and standing position and stay away from the bench. Thanks pab

Here are some more groups. They were shot at 50 yards from a sitting position with the wind still going crazy. 😡 but not as bad as the previous few days. I shot all of the BSA groups with Kodiaks and used 15.9g JSBs for the Talon groups.
The first 5 shot group with the BSA was the best

I think if the wind would stay calm for a few hours these would all be .5 inch groups. 😀
Ok I might do that. Yes they were from a 3,000psi fill and the previous owner(Tofazfou) said he put a lower power spring in. I will probably get a different spring to increase power and be able to fill to 3,200-3,350psi. I already have my Talon for lots of shots per fill and want to set this one up for 15-20 powerful shots within a 30fps spread.
I tried but was unable to overcome the second stage creep with out removing and polishing the sear. One of the contact surfaces was ok but the other was horrible. Pretty simple just have to remove a couple of screws and one pin which will expose everything. Were the strings you posted with a 3000psi fill?

The wind was a little better today and I shot at 50 yards with good results. 😀 I will post them later.
Thanks for the offer but mine does not seem to have much movement and I’m sure I could find something if I need to. Yeah that little bit of creep in the second stage is the only thing I don’t like about the trigger. I will see if I can get rid of it with factory adjustments.

Looking good Jeff. If you are interested in making that trigger even better I have some small stainless steel washers that will take the side to side movement out of the trigger and pressure spring pin. Just finished mine and with a little polishing it is real smooth and no more creep. If interested pm me and I will send you a couple.
You are psyched!!! Those are some sweet shot groups and chrony numbers…That was a steal, you got a real cherry rifle…I’ve taken game with mine way way out there…..Love my BSA!!!

This rifle is really starting to impress me with it’s accuracy. I shot it at 75 yards yesterday with my Talon and will post some groups later today.
