Scope height and zero question
Is there any way to help with the high scope mount height on Airforce guns? My zero on my SS is 30 yards with jsb 18’s at 950 fps. When I’m hunting I’m constantly having to refer to my trajectory mil-dot chart on my scope cover. It just seems like I never had this much trajectory work with lower scope height guns. I’ve played with some demos and chair gun and can’t really come up with another zero that would be less work. Any suggestions? Thanks

Lee, that is the bane of our guns. It is what it is.
What I did to help with this was to sight in at 50 yards, and use the first mil under the center of the cross hair at 20-30 yards. 1/2″ low at 40 with cross hair. Dead on at 50, 2 mil at 80 and just slightly over 3 mil at 100 yards. But it will depend on where your scope mill’s and at what power you shoot. Mine mils at 10X but these settings are at 14x. It will require much less mil’s at 10x. Practice-Practice-Practice, until it becomes second nature at the power setting you prefer.
This is with a .25 JSB at apx 960-990 fps.
