Q:

24inch barrel in the uk.

hi people, ive been doing a few mods to my stealth recently and it is performing really well, i was jus wandering whether anyone knows where i would be able to get hold of a 24inch .22 barrel for it, from here in the uk?

i dont have a chrono at the moment so dont know exactly what sort of power im getting with it, would anyone be able to hazzard a guess?

ive done all the work to the standard valve shown in the thread in the quick reference section, porting and polishing, drilling it out. ive also got a brass hammer installed and a much stronger main spring, (dont know exactly how strong).

would i benefit from a longer barrel and can anyone recomend some good quality heavy pellets?

cheers

tom.

Wish I had thought of it during the first project!
Those BSA Barrels are ultra smooth in the bore and rifling. 😉

I find the BSA barrel easily as good as the LW, and half the price 😎

Pab,

Maybe you need to hook up Walt-n- Hawaii with a few of these! 😉

He need only ask me. 😎

Hi i purchased my anshutz match barrel blank from Ben Taylor then sent it up to Drum in scotland to get him to machine it to fit the stealth mine is a .20 he did a great job on it the blank was about £110 then machine costs on top

someone has mentioned to me about the BSA barrels before and i am able to machine it myself, so sounds like i would be better off (money wise) buying a bsa blank. can i get them direct from bsa then?

Phone direct on 0121 773 0845

As a blank, it does not need to go to an RFD, but they will still want to send it to one for you to pick up.. 🙄

Does the rifling-twist rate differ between the BSA and LW barrels, if so would one lend itself more towards stabilizing heavier pellets better? Just curiosity. 😀

I too would opt for a BSA barrel over a LW. Infact I did : ) Then I bought a BSA gun 😀

quote bigtoe:

or just order a BSA barrel from a local RFD for around 65quid each, then ask around for machining.

I just bought 2 for my HW100, sent them to an airgunsmith recommended by AWT silencers.

Remember you can spec barrels at 5.5, 5.51 and 5.52, 4.5, 4.51 etc but you may have to wait longer. i just ordered stock blanks choked.

X2 I ordered a .25 24″ direct from BSA for 52 quid 😀
Langnasen machined it and made bushings for me.

You could of course order a ready to drop in barrel from Leupy. He charges around 130 I think for a 24″ with bushings. He uses BSA barrels.

No, this one with the OD of 16mm. You don’t want that skinny assed 10mm one!! 😀

Walther Brl Blank w/c .22
BRL209
Walther Barrel Blank .22 16mm dia X 605mm long with choke

Ps, you know these are just blanks, they need to be machined before you can use it, plus you will need to make 2 bushings.

cheers, i take it the second one down would be the one im looking for.
