i have a a hold over auestion
its for someone who has chair gun im getting a condor in the mail tommarow. Its sighted in with eun jins at 100 so how many clicks down would it be on a scope with .25 inch click incrments at 100 yards.

If you’re not on paper with the first 2 shots at 50, bring the target back to 25 yards and get 2 shots at 2″ above aimpoint and then move out to 50.
lol im going to use kodiaks so there are lighter but not to much. I have a huge roll of yellow papper about 4 feet wide and couple hundred feet long. So i will use that i cant wait.
No it’s not. Fill the gun, turn the dial down 3/4 of a full turn and shoot a couple shots at a big piece of paper set at 50 yards. If you’re not on paper, the guy lied! If you’re on paper, it will be real clear where the next big adjustment needs to be made.
BTW, do you plan to use the same ammo? Please don’t switch from 28gr pellets to Gamo Raptors and then tell me I was full of shit! If you do, aim at the bottom of the paper for the first shot…
Its stock so asume there going 900fps or 850. Man sighting in is going to suck hard with having to use a hand pump 🙁
Can’t even answer this question with Chairgun I’m afraid… The problem is that we don’t know how fast the Eun Jins are going. Let’s just say for the purpose of using the extreme to make the point, that the gun shoots Eun Jins at 500fps… To sight that at 100 maxes out the scope (set on 100 MOA rails 😆 ) At 50 it will be a bunch of clicks down and then you realize you have to take the droop rail off. Opposite example: the gun shoots Eun Jins at 2500fps (remember, extreme example) and the drop at 100 is only a couple inches, at 50 you’re only 8 clicks down!
My advise: turn the knob 3/4 of a full turn down and start shooting at a big piece of paper at 50. I’ll bet you’re close enough to get to sighting…
yeah it sighted in at 100 and i wanted to know the amount of clicks in the down direction do have it in the ball park at 50 yards. so i dont have pellets flying all over. so when i get it ill try 10 15 clicks and go from there i guess.
You gotta fling a few hundred rounds of different brands of pellets and figure that out yourself. Chairgun shouldn’t be used as a “plug and play” substitute.
It’s a GUN, not a Playstation. There are no “cheat codes” available. 😉
Just have fun and shoot like crazy for a bit. You’ll get the hang of your gun’s performance pretty quickly and decide on the best path to proceed.
Did you mean your sighted at a 100′?
If it is sighted in at 100yds then it should be right in the crosshairs at
100yds… No clicks up or down…

For what your asking, there is no clear cut answer, theres a lot of variables to be considered .
what you are really asking is how do you dial in your shots for different ranges with different pellets.
First off , your scope must be very good quality , it has to track exactly from shot to shot .A cheap scope will never do this and blood will shoot out of your ears, dont bother. its only good for holdover .
your power level and fill must be dropped to give the most shot to shot consistancy .
Next you want to set up targets at ten yard intervals .
then you zero in your sights so its perfect at what ever range , I use 30 yards , so most of my shots are all come ups.
Now you have your rifle zeroed at 30 . now see that little thingy on the top of your scope that loosenes the top turrent?
loosen it and reset it so it reads zero then tighen it up again .
Now all your shots will be comming off of your mechanical zerost at 30 yards

now fire and zero your gun for each range and record the MOA for each range . and re-set to your 30 yard zero for each range,
in other words how many MOA up it takes to zero .
for 30 =0
40= .5
for 50 =1.5 MOA (just numbers I pulled out of the air)
and so on and so on
now write them down , and tape them to the inside of your scope cover .
now you will have all zeros for all the ranges you shoot in your scope cover.
Ex:
30yards=0
40=.5 MOA
50=1 MOA
70=2.25 MOA
100=4 MOA
Ect… (numbers above are just made up)
now you can read your number and dial in your shot from zero .
you can also find your holdovers the same way , you want to use this when there isnt time to dial in a shot, like a sneaky squrril who keeps takeing cover.
Now your holdovers are your drop rates for each range same process , do not ajust your scope . fire at each range with the 30 yard zero now measure the drops at each range and average it out . and record it .
now you will know how much to holdover on a target at a given range
So now that you got your numbers , LOOK AT IT !,REMEMBER IT! ,AND KEEP IT IN YOUR FUCKING BRAIN!

remember every pellet is going to be a little different , so choose your favorites , mine are the JSB 18 heavys, the match 22 kodiacks, the Ein, juns
all good pellets .
there is no way Im doing math in the field, in my mellon .
I use the holdover or the dial in method . all the work is done before hand.
