Is the breech supposed to go all the way back?
Is th little sleeve thing supposed to cover the top hat after the rifle is cocked?

No, the breech only covers the small forward portion of the Top Hat. When it gets that far you are able to move the knob off to the side as if locking a bolt action. If you don’t move the knob to the side, the breech can blow open loosing air and power. The hammer will strike the forward end of the breech which pushes the TopHat further to the rear causing the valve to be temporarily opened.
Theres like a 1/4 inch gap when i pull the breech back. it will go to the side.

Are you saying that you can’t pull it all the way back and to the side? If so it probably means that the top-hat is adjusted out too far.
Yeah they will still shoot, but I dont think it’s good for it. Better wait for a senior member to chime in, I don’t know why you can’t pull the breech back.
like the little breech thing will not go back all the way it still shoots fine.
Im not exactly sure what your saying. After sliding forward and cocking the gun, slide the breech all the way back over the tophat and to the side.
