Q:

Question on scope mounting

Help please. I will be mounting a Leapers 8-32X56OA scope (30 mm tube) on my Talon SS with a sidewheel.

My question is what height mounting rings will I need and am I going to need an adjustable mount so I don’t run out of vertical elevation adjustment on the scope for short range shots.

I like one-piece mounts which I now have for my 1″ tube scope, but I cannot find an adjustable one piece mount for a 30 mm tube.

Thanx.

Adjustable mounts are needed to zero @ 10 meters, 30 meters and out you should be ok. Zero @ 40 yards and use mil dots for hold over/under?

Sam 😀

I had a leapers 4-16×56 on my Talon in a one-piece non-adjustable mount and it worked fine. It was either high or medium, but I really don’t remember which.
