did some chrony testing with the condor today
O.k. here we go.This was done with a 2800 psi fill ,powerwheel set at 4,2100 psi end pressure,no poi change at 32 yds.

I think he means pry the tp and stem out, not the valve….

you dont have to take out the air to polish the valve eather. just take a screw driver and pry the valve out of the tank. it will pop right out. then put the valve back where it goes get it started and shoot the gun twice to set the valve back. that is how i adjust my power i have one valve set for 30 fpe and one set for 50 fpe so it is real easy to change power.
i know u dont have to remove the valve for TH adjustment

Hell no, you don’t need to remove the valve. Just undoe the grubs on the tp and screw the tp down to required height, then put a tad of locktite on the grubs and retighten.
Crow, your not taking the valve out just to adjust the T.H., You’ll save some air and be glad you did.
You should get the same power, just less air wastage and less stress on the stem. You may need to play with the power wheel.
will droping it down into the 7’s (the tophat) make the power it is getting at .125?
its a stock valve and i dont wanna remove valve yet as i only have a hand pump for now
when i get a scba tank ill take it out but for now thats a no go
I don’t have a condor valve, but the experts will tell you the tp is too high toe. x2 what Rowdy and ‘sam said, about .070 or so….
X2 what Rowdy said. Mine is at .069 and I get well into the 1000’s with the 21.1 Gr. Kodiaks. I’m trying to keep it under 1K.
Dang guys, you have your top hat set at .125″??? Now that is spaced way high if you ask me LOL… I just don’t like the top hat that high if I can get away without doing so…
You guys ever take the valve out of your tank and inspect for rough edges in and around the port holes in the stem??? I have always been able to flow the valve smoother and not have to space the top hat quite so high…
Now that said I have yet to try the JSB monsters out. I have some and I just got my tanks toped off, so I do plan to do some shooting this weekend, once I ever get through with all the honey do’s LOL… Right now I am in the middle of putting new tires on my wifes Expedition, well I am up here waiting on the tire guys to do so, I am not doing it LOL…
When shooting strings with the 25.g monsters I’ve found the groups tighten a bit in the 950-960 range. I’ve never got quite the accuracy with monsters as with the 18.g jsbs, but pretty close. I really like the way hit.The 18s shoot well at any veiocity including super sonic. Dosent make since but I guess that’s what keeps things interesting.
i would try that i bought my gun from airhog.Van said all he did was test it for accuracy and shots per fill as far as i know he didnt do nothing else this week im going to the range and shooting at some greater distances i hope it will still perform good how do u fill your gun

Edward I have never heard of doing that what or where are you prying on the top hat stem? that is all there is to pry on without taking the valve assem out if you would explain what and how to do this also won’t you have a problem if you air tank is full of air?? I think this needs to go into a little more detail before us newer guys get blown away thanks Eddie
