New here… some questions if I may.
Hello everyone! I have been reading the forum for a while gathering information. Over the holidays I took advantage of the free c02 adapter offer from PA and bought a Talon and an SS. 😆 I’ll just claim insanity there… It also turned out that the 10% coupon I had worked on the SS package. Not sure if they still do.
Anyway, my idea was to swap barrels, making a Talon shorty, and an SS with 18″ barrel and short shroud. Then I got to reading the forum some more and started to slide down the slippery slope of converting one of them to .25. In my mind anyway.:P
Soooo, after looking around a bit, it seems that the barrels are available directly from LW for about a C-note. Of course these will have to be machined. Now, I have a lathe, and can do OK with it, and to me it seems like all that needs to be done to a barrel blank is to part it to length, and reduce the OD on the breech end. Then make some bushings and I’m home free. Is this correct? If so, it seems like a fairly simple operation and could be done for not too much dinero!
But I’m sure I’m missing something here… Advice?
Thanks!

Yeah, there is that, but I’m a cheap bastard. 😆
Plus, it gives me an excuse to buy more goodies for my lathe!
