Dry pac on Hill pump
Does anyone have experience with the dry pac. It sounds like a good idea but I’m wondering if it really makes a difference. Has anyone had any problems with condensation inside the tanks?

I use a Hill with Drierite and it indicates moisture after about 4 topups.
Then you just bake and reuse.
I posted on Drierite before.
I used a Logun pump for several years and now a friend of mine has it and is using it…so when I am at his place, I still use it.
Currently, I use an FX 4 Stage pump…. though I do have a Hill as a backup.
I’m not downing the Hill. It’s a very reliable pump with a good reputation. I just question the effectiveness of the ‘dry pak’.
i use a hill pump with a dry pac and one time i unscrewed my bottle from the pump, there was a drip of water…and most of the time i pump my tank i can see lots of moisture around the adapter…
What hand pump have you been using for years? I finally made the purchase for my Talon SS and got everything except the pump. I figured I would shoot CO2 until I knew which pump to get and at what price.
Much has been written on various forums about the effectiveness, or lack of, on the Hill pump.
From my own experience, I have an AAS4xx that I’ve used a hand pump on for years (with no ‘dry pak’) and when I replaced the tube with a larger one, there was ZERO moisture in the tube…. and I live in a very humid area.
Same with several other PCP tubes I’ve been inside that I’ve primarily used a hand pump on.

My Hills Dry-Pac is a load of shite.
Lucky if it even suck air through it.
Waste of money.
Still can’t knock the pump though.
