Scuba tank question

Found a scuba tank for sale at a local sports store. Will this work w/ an AF adapter.

Every cylinder is produced from high strength aluminum alloy 6061-T6 and comes complete with the KA-70 Converter valve, allowing the diver to dive yoke or din up to 3442 psi.

lasabre: look at the valve below where the din adapter screws into the K valve and you will see a number on the valve: should read 3000 psi service pressure. That is the safe fill pressure. for that valve

Din valves are rated 3180 to 3500 psi

If the number reads 3442 psi service pressure: then that is the safe pressure for that valve.

Depends on the tank, the tank pressure may not match the valve safe pressure rating?/

My scuba tanks have “DOT 3AL 3000” and the K-valves have 3000 psi service pressure stamped on em.

it should be stamped on the tank as to what the full fill pressure is but how you posed your question makes me think its good for 3442

Thanks for the info. So is the tank set at 3000 psi or 3442 psi ?
