Q:

Axsor/Logan 3 stage hand pump rebiuld kit????

Hi guys!
My Logan hand pump is on the it’s way to an end of it’s life. It pumps but very often locks up and I would have to bleed the air out and start pumping again. It’s been working for me for 3years now but I think it is time to fix it or replace seals.
So, can this particular pump be fixed at home by using some sort of rebiuld kit? I have heard of Hill pumps having those kits but never heard how to do it with this pump.
Any advice please?
In worse case I would have to buy new pump but if it is possible to fix this one for less money it would be nice.
Thank you

Thank you Dave. I guess, I’ll have to strip it down and see what happening in there.

Well I have a logun “combi” pump. It is a two stage (Well as far as I can tell) and I accidently left it outside for a few days and it got rusted up and full of water. So i stripped it down fully, de-rusted and cleaned everything and is working fine.

You might be experiencing something called pump lock, does the pump lock up if you take a break from pumping and then come back to it to find its locked?

If so, then it will prorably be your main check valve, this is a one way valve that lets air go into the gun but wont let it come back into the pump. This valve might have a small leak meaning that your pump will slowly fill with air and be very hard to push back down.

My pump does this all the time but luckily I have the upper body strength and weight to push it back down and carry on pumping. (Well I say luck but it is more the many hours spent in the gym :D)

I would reccomend a complete strip down, clean up any seals and o-rings (Or replace them) and see if that works

Dave
