I have a real problem here.
I have had my condor now for bout a year.had it sighted in perfect.1 hole groups at 30 yds with22cal kodes .last nite i took the gun apart for the first time to clean it.norm i clean the barrel per 1000 shots . anyway now it wont shoot for shit.1 in groups at 30 with kodes.everything is back together correctly accually it all lines up better now all barrel screws went in perfect top hat lines up better now with cocking mech .i just dont get it. all my chrony strings look awsome .1050 avg.now whats really dumb is that when i shoot 25grn jsb monsters it shoots perfect. any advice would be greatly app.

OK problem solved i shot about 400 rounds today the groups tightened right up pw is set at 6 2700psi fill 1st 4 shots at 1040 then10 at bout 1060-1090 3/8in groups at 30 yds im getting bout 30good shots per fill YEAH im happy again
1050 fps sounds a little hot. Now that you’ve cleaned and oiled your barrel, your velocity is prolly higher than it was before. Your getting pretty close to the sound barrier now which is most likely causing a little instability. The heavier Monsters are moving slower so the sb isn’t an issue. Try turning down the power with the Kods. JMHO
I would say yes. I think if it doesn’t touch plastic or rubber you should be okay. I would clean it out before using again.
Okay, but what is the general consensus on oiling the barrel for rust prevention while in storage????
You say that the barrel is now better aligned with the top hat than before. What exactly did you do to the barrel/bushings/frame to do this?
All info given helps us try to figure out what the problem is.

I think it’s the barrel cleaning. Shoot at least 100 pellets before judging.
A couple things…. and most of it is only echoing what has already been said.
1. Do not clean your barrel unless you have accuracy issues. Airgun barrels do not need ‘regular’ cleaning
2. Airguns can be picky. Something as simple as cleaning a barrel can very easily cause a shift in pellet preference. Adding or removing components can do the same thing.
3. Particularly with springers, as an airgun gets run in, or it’s barrel gets run in… it can shift pellet preference.
4. Undersized pellets was another good point.
I’d suspect that as your newly clean barrel gets run in, Kodiaks will start to shoot in it again.
I guess you’ve figured out by now that if it aint broke dont fix it. Treat it like a sore peter…..
I’ve read that a freshly cleaned barrel takes some shooting to settle in.
Since you said that you ordered both, you may have a batch of slightly undersized Kod’s.

Since they were shooting well before, I would use the jsb’s for a while, and after a couple hundred shots try out the kodiaks again. Who knows, may work. 🙂

Screw with it and you are just asking to make it not accurate with anything. Leave it where it is and shoot the accurate pellet. 🙂
Well i’ve always heard that pcp’s need maintnence.Thats why i cleaned the whole thing out.About 2 weeks ago i ordered kodes and jsb monsters.I got the gun sighted in for the kodes and it shot them both perfect.All the screws are tight.With the kodes the poi is all over the place,monsters hold poi great.My velocity is still the same.If i lower the velocity it is still allover the place.
