My power wheel won’t turn
I took my SS apart to install a heavy hammer weight and spring. Put it back together and the power wheel won’t turn. I even put it back in original from and still no turn. I’ve had it apart before with no issues. Maybe I’m doing something wrong. Any help? Thanks.

Well, I just got on here to tell you guys I got it fixed. I took PW out and turned one end with pliers and it was stuck. I guess when I backed it off when I removed everything it got stuck and I thought it was one piece. I must be a dummy! LOL! Thanks for everybody’s input.
The PW is a two part male/female threaded assembly.
The small plastic screw stops the male part from spinning so the threads can work.
Make sure your PW assembly is not threaded together too tight.

The plastic power wheel is threaded take it out of your gun your getting good at that I know 🙄 it might have gotten screwed in to far and just plain to tight or stuck plastic is known to get tight for what ever reason and it is usually hard to get unstuck when you get it out hang on to it just like it sits in the frameturn it by hand like you would a nut and bolt and try and unscrew it by turning the big part of it towards you I think that might be what is going on with it try that and let me know if that worked
The only other thing you said it did turn it might of went to far and came off the threaded part if that is the case you need to get it started on the threads they might of not cut the threads quite far enough if that is the case it should be allright if not let Airforce know about it I am sure they will send you another one.
Also, check that thin rubber washer that is between the barrel bushing and the PW assembly. See if it is rolled up or kinked…
There is no mark on it. I have tried it with and without the foregrip on the gun.. I still can’t see how it is physically possible for the wheel to turn with the little plastic screw on the wheel. Its all one piece and the little screw blocks it from turning but if I turn it without the screw on it it stays in one place with no in and out adjustment. What does the wheel catch on for adjusting it in and out? Also white bushings look fine.
Look at the PW when you have it disassembled and see if there is a mark left by the foregrip screw like Syn said, if so you are overtightning the screw.
Also, check that thin rubber washer that is between the barrel bushing and the PW assembly. See if it is rolled up or kinked…
Sometimes the screw that holds the forearm or the trigger guard goes up too far and contacts the knurling on the power wheel.
Also I think if you thread the pw too far onto the adjuster before assembly it won’t back off when everything is tightened down…
My powerwheel was poorly prepared before assembly and had fuzzy plastic all over the end of the threads. A little love and it worked a thousand times better…
I found that a setting of 1 was loose enough for assembly and far enough from locking to make things work fine after reassembly…
I’ve had the whole assembly out probably 20 times and it still won’t turn. It turns until I put the little plastic screw in even if I leave it loose. It seems like the plastic screw blocks it from turning. The white orings are there and in place. I’m trying to figure out what the power wheel turns on to adjust in and out. I see no threads that it rides on. I’m no dummy and have had this gun apart before with no trouble.
Also make sure those little white o-rings are on there well. If they are stuck in wrong it could bind it up.
First off the screw is plastic don’t get on it very hard it doesn’t do anything to hold anythng it is just a pointer for your numbers on the gun frame. Not sure why your power wheel isin’t turning unless you tightned it up to tight is the only thing I can think of, try taking it out put some blue locktite on it make sure you use blue not red and just take the long end of the allen wrench and just run it down until it is just snug not tight you should be fine like I said that small plastic screw does nothing other than to be used and an indicator to line up with the numbers on the Airforce frame.
The first screw I put in during reassembly is the little power wheel screw. The wheel will turn to line it up, when I put the screw in it won’t turn any more . Looking at it doesn’t the screw interfere with the wheel moving?
if you put the barrel set screw in the wrong hole or tighten the grip too much it will pin the power wheel. also the power wheel indicator screw will pin it if two tight

So did you figure out what I was saying looks like you did, sometimes I write to much and get people confused! sent you a pm also glad you got it figured out that is what I thought you might have done buy the way your were explaining the problem you were having like I said plastic has a way of getting tight and needs a little assistance to get un stuck! And like Synopsys said you aren’t dumb next time someone has that problem you can help them now 😆
