Q:

What parts to I need to remove so the safety doesn’t engage?

http://talonairgun.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=13063

I removed the safety bar, safety slide, and the springs with the safety slide. My rifle won’t cock with these removed. Any help?

Your Wife says different… 😉 😆 😀

Well, obviously some conflicting reports here. All I know is that my safety came out when the little spring took a flyer and I couldn’t find it. Once I realized the safety wouldn’t work without it, I just took the safety bar out and that was that. Never have had a fail to cock or an accidental discharge.

I to have taken out the slide I read a post on here that if the slide is still in after taking out the safety bar that it can cause it to not cock if held at certain angles and I tried that with mine still in and it can shift around if the gun is held and a downward angle and cause just that.

I’d kill my self!

I took my slide out too – if you dont feel comfortable knocking out pins then I guess thats fine. I dont know if it could cause a problem though as I’ve always taken them out.

I took the slide out as well as the other safety bits.
Saved myself at least 5 grams of weight don’t ya know…. 😆

Thanks Buzzcat. I will do that the next time I have it apart.

The slide stays in. All that comes out is the safety bar and the safety bar spring.
