What kind of reg do you use?

Tescom 44-1100 series. Mine is the brass “low pressure” variant. 😉

6000psi in…4000psi out.

Sounds good 😎 No need to be tempting fate (without the reg) 😯

SCBA 4500 carbon fiber tanks take a CGA-347 connection. DIN 300 is for scuba, they’re not rated for 4500. That 444 cu/ft tank in the picture will also require a CGA fitting. CGA-528 I think, I would have to check.

Any reason you couldn’t fill the scba from the 444cf tank?

Nope. Just need special fittings.

I don’t know what the special fittings are. Do SCBA tanks have fittings different than the CF tanks we use? I thought they were both DIN fittings designed for 4500 psi use.

Regulators are for pussies.

Seriously though, I use a flow control that I have locked in on a very low setting. No matter how far you open the tanks main valve, the nitrogen still is only slowly released. Besides, that’s what burst disks are for 😯

Do you use a regulator?

I use this 6000psi nitrogen tank. I think it holds 533cu/ft. I did the math one day and figured it should give me apprx 315 fills to 3000psi.

the local paintball shop uses one of these to fill their stuff up for ya
they have a compressor but also this tank so its quicker to fill for them
they charge 1 dollar per 1000 psi no matter the size of tank
most guys that paint ball round here have the 68 CI tanks and not 88 CF so i get a good deal on it

Do a search, some guy here had/ has an opportunity to pick up 5 of these in one crack.

I have one attached to my compressor. I use it to fill my CF portable tanks. The storage of colled HPA allows fills with a lot less heat going into the CF tank.

how many full 3000 psi fills do you get out of a tank….have been thinking of leasing a n2 tank as well

The thing is…I don’t own a condor (A likely project when my machining skills and knowledge get to where they need to be? 🙂 ). I use this for my “big” gun. 🙂

With 3000psi fills, that 444cuft tank would only last me for 125 rounds…IF it was properly filled to begin with. ❓
