I gotta get out to your neck of the woods and shoot that rifle! I’ll bring my marauder lol..

I just got the S410 ERB two days ago and I loved everything about it except it was either clipping or just shooting too many flyers. I sent it back and am trying again but decided to get the S410 Carbine with the H, or Classic’s air tube. It should be a great combination and now I just hope it ends up being a great performer. From what I saw, everything about the S410 screams quality.

quote Varminter:

I would personally get any of the S410 models over the marauder. My friend Joel is on his second Marauder in two weeks and the second one still has problems and shoots 5″ groups at 50 yards using JSB 15.8 and 18.1! I know there are some good ones out there out of the box but it’s a crap shoot.

Use Crosman CP pellets.. lol JSBs don’t work that great in my gun either. I group dime size @ 70 yards with the CP.

And by the time you send the Mrod to Greg Davis for a tune, you still have a $25 crosman barrel. If you spend the extra $200 to have Greg change the barrel to a LW, you might as well have spent the money on the S410 because the S410’s stock, build, side lever cocking…is still better. I look at it as trying to make chicken soup out of chicken shit. Buy the S410 and if you want to save money, buy the FX T-12 Whisper. I don’t mean to be a Marauder hater but to see my buddy receive two in a row with crappy barrels or who knows what just shows me that Crosman has a long way to go as far as quality control. I actually have an S410 ERB waiting for me at home! It was just delivered by the brown Santa. 🙂 I’ll be sure to post pics and test results when I get a chance to shoot her.

Well, looking at the pics of the groups, it still looks like AA410 groups are much better than Mrod.
It is personal, but I think AA410 is much better looking rifle as well. I know looks are not everything, but Mroder doesn’t look apealing to me.
But than again it is just me.
