multiple sighting setups

i finally broke down and have set up a scope for my Talon.

i was using open sights.

when i originally purchased the Talon, it came in a ‘package’…the rifle, a hand pump and telescopic sighting device.

i also purchased a set of the standard AF open sights.

i later purchased a Mendoza rear peep and an adjustable aperture front sight device.

i also installed and used a red-dot aiming device.

OK…OK…what’s this all about?

i now have a rifle that is capable of a sighting device, within minutes that’s able to meet almost any need of the moment with little or no adjustment. from low light, to bright, from open to telescopic to electronic all in a matter of minutes.

I’ve marked the location for each and noted the settings on the devices themselves so all that’s needed is a simple removal and a simple installation.

to me…it affirms the versatility of these fine rifles.

my preference is for open sights but with the advance of age…the eyeballs no longer function as well as they once did…hence the need for all the optic assistance. 🙂
