Q:

I need an AF pump rebuild kit

I’ve been keeping my pump going with misc. o-rings. Thought I’d try a full rebuild. Is there any place other than AF to get them?

Are there different versions of the AF pump? Because mine doesnt look like the ones in their videos and so far I’ve had no problems 😕

Yes there are different versions of the pump. I don’t know of a site that describes them all and there differences but I have had a few versions. I think Tim at Mac1 said they are made in china….so thats why they don’t last.

I have had some pumps fill an AF tank hundreds of times without a problem and some that break after 10 fills.

$15…thats a bunch of bull shit. 😡

It’s probably the same shit that just fails after a bit anyways…

I haven’t had any issues but I know my days are numbered. Will not buy the AF again when it does fail, wish I would have paid the extra $$ for the Hill…

This is meant sincerely… get a used steel scuba tank… you’ll never look back.

PS. and get a second AF bottle and adjust it to match your stock. That gives you plenty of hunting air in the field.

$15…thats a bunch of bull shit. 😡 They should send you a kit for there piece of shit pump for free. I have also had many problems with my pump and have sent it back several times before I started repairing them myself. Did you call or email? Just curious because when I emailed they said they could sell me a kit but when I called, talked to Rachel about my pump, and explained all of the problems she sent me a kit for free.

AF kindly offered to sell me a kit for $14.95 plus shipping. This pump has been a constant source of aggravation and AF doesn’t feel my pain. I’d rather not encourage their behavior.

Why not get it from AF? Give them a call and they should send you a kit for free. Ask for a check valve spring with the o-rings. The check valve spring in pumps I have had is rusty and falling apart when I clean and rebuild them.
