Can someone please tell me if the 2300 and the 2240 share…
…the same trigger frame assembly? I notice the 2300 has a set screw for the trigger…, but otherwise they appear similar…I am also wondering if they are the same…what the difference in price will be.
I also figured the best way to go if you are going to use an HPA tank on your 22xx is to buy a disco tube. They are only 19.00 and they are rated to 2,000 psi. You have to cut the fill end off of whichever tube you go with anyway…so why not put all the disparate safety theories to rest and go with the disco tube.
I would like to find someone to machine the threads into a cut tube for the more traditional pistol look (minus the large hpa tank). If I can’t find anyone local, please let me know if any of the fine machinists here would be willing to thread these cut tubes for me???

Yeah, I saw that one on Pacific pellet guns…It is in .177. He said he was going to make a video on it like he does on lots of his guns…but I don’t think he did yet.
Yeah, I will be using the discovery valve…however, B&A has a boss valve with the pre-drilled discovery “pin down holes”. I have a Boss valve, a Mountain air modified valve, and a discovery valve. I am going to be curious to see how each one compares to the others…all other parts being equal…the transfer ports may vary, though.
If I ever have Pacific build me a gun it will be a big bore pistol for sure. I would like to do all the smaller stuff myself.
I ordered stuff from TKO…I wasn’t aware that they had an entire trigger assembly. I will have to look into that. EDIT, I just saw that you said “trigger action”…Yes, I ordered that kit already. Thanks guys.
If there is a difference it would ONLY be the overtravel screw below the trigger. But, have no fear, it’s complete crap. The thread tolerances are loose enough to allow the screw to move. In my case out. I’ve picked a couple up off the floor.
If you want better trigger action, the best I’ve found is a complete trigger kit from TKO, http://www.tko22.com/
Can’t speak to HPA on these but I get 90+ 10M shots off the 2300 and “only” 🙂 60ish 10-15m shots off a custom shop 2400 (with an added power adjusted turned out a noticeable distance). There must be a valve difference, or it’s just because one is .177 and the other .22.
Custom discovery pistols, Marauder pistols, Discovery tube kits, etc. I can’t remember why, but I think you have to use the Discovery valve if using the Discovery tube. Anyway, http://www.pacificpellets.com can do everything you are thinking of. Note that he is now offering a Marauder pistol with a tube-mounted 13ci HPA tank.

The B&A BOSS valve i have came with stock sizeTP..The MA valve I have came in a 2250B rifle he built for me….that valve, (exhaust hole) was drilled up and fitted with poly-tube (.250 od IIRC ) I don’t know about if you just buy a valve from Roy, whether or not he drills up the hole, or leaves it at stock diameter
I agree with ya on the Disco tube, I used a 2250B tube (stamping is behind front trigger screw 😀 ) mainly cause I already had it so didn’t have to buy one at all!! disco tube and valve would be the way to go IMO.
