Crossman barrel quality?
I have the chance to buy a cheap 24″ .22 crossman barrel.
Any idea on the quality of these barrels. Im looking to do some 50-100yard shooting, would the accuracy of this barrel be okay? or would it be more like a shotgun?

just in case you want a .22 barrel, I have a proven ragged one hole 50 yard shooter, 24″ LW barrel with no more than 100 to 200 rounds through it. It does not have the barrel bushings, but I’m sure you already have them…I would let it go for 100.00 shipped to the CONUS. Let me know if you want it.
I wonder if the .25 would work good in a condor cause i know the marauder are choked.

Crosman sells 2 different types of barrels….(1) barrels for everyday shooters in which case a 24″ barrel would cost about $26-28.. and (2) they sell ‘match” barrels, in which case it would cost around $80.00 . I have a std. 18″ barrel on my HPA 2250 carbine…..at 47 yards , it will put 5 rounds 18.21 Crow Magnums inside a circle the size of a $0.25 piece….. (at 770 -790 fps) 😀 😀
Are going for an unusual length or less common caliber?
LW barrels FROM AF rifles are not hard to come by, often just ready to drop in.

I would not mess around with a Crosman barrel if you did not have to. This is truly a case of “you get what you pay for”.
At this point in time, a Crosman barrel will never compare to a BSA or LW barrel.

WOK means that some of the Crosman barrels are pretty good, and others are not so good. “It’s like a box of chocolates…you never know what your gonna get”.

Thanks guys, I’ve got the barrel coming by the end of the week and a pair of selphb valves coming soon aswell.
