Can I use a hi-flow tank on a TalonSS

All you will need is the Condor hammer weight from AF, it’s like $16 or something…

I have a Condor tank on my TSS and the hammer weight makes the valve breach tank system exactly like the Condor… 😉

If your going to swap valves make sure you empty the tank before removing the existing valve. If your going to adjust the top hat there is no need to empty the tank. (It’s worth repeating.)

Somehow I don’t think your valve or even the top hat is loose. 😕 You may want to hunt down the problem before swapping out the valves or tanks. 😉

You can’t take the whole thing apart with pressure in the tank. If it’s your top hat that’s loose, put a drill bit in the hole to keep from denting the valve stem.

From what I can tell, the .177 tank had a stronger valve return spring. This is because when the valve opens, the pressure on the larger surrounding metal of the barrel (Compared to the .22) trys to keep the valve open and can cause a tank dump at higher hlow valves.

Yes you can use the high flow valve on the talon but you would have to also get the condor hammer weight from Airforce.

You should be able to tighten up your wifes valve by doing the following:

Remove the valve from the bottle

Look at the back of the valve and you will see the brass valve spring retainer

Take it out

Add a few wraps of teflon tape to the threads

Screw it back in until the spring tention on the valve seems right (Press in the stem until it becomes slightly firm

Screw the valve back into the tank

Fill and enjoy.

EDIT: from reading your post again, it looks like your tophat might be loose.

To solve this, there are two grub screws on the tophat. add a small amount of blue locktight/clear nailpolish and tighten them.

be acreful not to over tighten them
