shipping air rifles ??

Hi guys, wondered if anyone knows the law on shipping air rifles ?
I’m in the uk and am thinking of selling one, wanted to know where i stand legally before i try to sell anything !
Any advice appreciated !

Only thing you really need to do is empty the air tank. A tank full of compressed air is considered a bomb, and they don’t like it when you ship bombs.

So empty all air and you are good to go!

Should be fine to ship overseas in bits, not constructed. Only the silencer would be a problem for the Yanks.

The Mailing of air rifles around the UK is still legal.However,to be on the safe side its probably wise not to mention the contents as it may be frowned upon and certain carriers have been known to refuse carriage.
Send by the most secure way and if asked the contents…just say its sporting equipment.Expect the cost to be £20-£30.
If shipping overseas,then i’m clueless on this matter.Maybe someone else can come in with the relevant info.
