i cant really say how much your groups will open up since all barrels will shoot a little differently and im not even using a stock barrel. I’ve switched out to a match grade .22lr barrel and have had great results with accuracy but i did suffer a loss of speed since the rifling has more engagment into the pellet…so once again i hate to say it but groups are all relative to the gun, shooter and pellet being used…but i can tell you that speed comes at the high cost of shots (air used) so if your just punching paper keep the fps low and shot count up…if your trying to stop a raging cat then up the fps and just know you will only get a few shots that are gonna be ontarget before a major poi shift happens
Cheers SS. Just trying to speed setting the rifle up. How much do groups open up past the 900? I spent most of today playing with the rifle. Needed to try It with a weaker spring and lighter hammer but I’ve misplaced my torx bits so couldn’t! It’s eating air as It Is. Groups weren’t too bad though with the light pellets @ 25yds.
speed is a relative thing….its all gonna depend on the pelet that your shooting and the gun your shooting it from but generaly speeking most people see the best results and groups at 900fps + or – ….you will just need to shoot a few groups over a chrony and see how they do…if they are too big for your liking try slowing things down a bit and see how they group then.. but nothing will give you more info than putting lead on paper and and then putting more lead on paper
