Ranger or Royal ?
I really like both these guns and I can’t have both…. The Air Wolf is too much money,for me. I want to target shoot and kill ground hogs. A kill shot at 50 to 75 yards.I need power and accuracy..so there is really 3 guns I’m looking at….The royal in .22 and the Ranger in .22 or the .25………These rifles seem to me , new to this sport, to be top of the food chain…..ALSO ..I have a t12 whisper…If I get one of these rifles I was thinking of trading the whisper in on the new rifle….if AOA would do that….This sport is addicting, whew…All I seem to think about is these damn guns….well, they are less expensive than boats or women….you can get into the big bucks there…. any input is appreciated…thanks , don

Way low for a 400cc bottle. Yours sounds like a keeper! 😉
Ive got it set to 30-31ftlbs and cutting the power back allows many more shots.

Ive never shot a Ranger, I wish to buy one-one day ?.20 caliber? Anyway the Royale for sure does the trick I love mine. I shoots JSB 18 grain pellets from 850 up to 880 and back -over 96 shots 😀 -60 yard accuracy is great 😯

I guess the .22 is gonna be the one….It ain’t nothin but money………..don

and one of the more common cold remedies around here to the old folks is boiled down groundhog fat. They are a fatty mammal anyway, and are quite stringy and gamey tasting, but the fat is quite prized by some as a cold remedy.
I remember taking it as a kid and I think it simply tasted so bad that one wanted to suppress their coughing so as to not have to take any more of it.
….now THATS redneck!

I own both. Pull the trigger on the AR 22 in 50fpe. Dynamite gun. They have a new 60fpe model in .22 but that’s overkill. The AR, as was previously mentioned, does everything well. So does the Royal but I like the feel of the AR much better plus it has a bolt action which I prefer.

I’m leaning Ranger a little….and kinda leaning .22. ……. And after a little thought I think this may be my least expensive hobby….boats are brutal but women have really kicked my butt…..This is a great forum…I really look forward to getting on the computer and checking it out…..don

I can only speak to the Air Ranger and offer my .02c.
I have said on several occasions that the Air Ranger is as close to the perfect airgun as I have ever seen. It looks sexy and is a natural shooter. It’s very well balanced and just does everything right. There were some initial issues with the Harper valve, but they are ironed out now and the results are nothing less than spectacular.
Mine is in .177 and is so pinpoint accurate that I’d not hesitate a shot on a whistle pig at 50 yards… even with .177. Could dot it’s eye 5 out of five shots rested. And those who know me on the forum know that I am quite conservative with range on hunting. That says quite a bit.
